Atlanta council authorizes $68 million jail sale to Fulton County

Atlanta City Council voted to authorize selling the city jail to Fulton County for $68 million. County officials say the purchase would help ease overcrowding at the Rice Street jail. The city must still approve a sales agreement before the deal can move forward.
